Prior to attending a 21 day silent meditation retreat, I thought that meditation was just a way of deeply relaxing the body, while getting the mind to slow down. Relaxing is a necessary component of meditating. But it isn't the goal. Meditation actually happens beyond the mind and body, though both must cooperate to allow a true meditative state to be reached. It has been described in many ways, as an opening of the heart and awareness, a waking up to who you really are consciousness, bliss, immersion and total love and peace and illuminating of your true self, and a recognition that there is no separation between you and God, or source energy. In this meditation, you will express empty experience and embody. I have named this style of meditation, ecstatic meditation. This sequence came to me when I asked, How can I and others let go of the mind and the energy is trapped in the body, to be able to wake up, go deeper and receive more. When using this format for my own practice, I noticed that engaging physically prior to surrendering into a relaxed state allowed me to let go of any concerns or thoughts. release stored energy in the body facilitated going deeper, and made me more open to receiving may it have the same effect on you.AIM Intro/Outro:

welcome, you are listening to the ecstatic meditation one guided by Lotus. Begin in a standing position. Take a moment to check in with yourself. Are you restless, wide awake? Tired, excited? numb? Is your body loose or tight? Do you feel pressure or pain anywhere? What is your state? Are you happy, annoyed, sad, grateful content. Become aware of how you feel in this moment. Now, decide how you want to feel at the end of this meditation. When the music begins, move your body in rhythm with the pace of the sound. The music will start off slowly and build an energy and intensity throughout the 20 minutes. Allowing yourself to really let go and move into the music will give you the greatest benefits. If you have enough space, close your eyes as you move. This facilitates a deeper going inward. If not, keep your eyes soft. Not focusing on anything in particular. Let's beginLeah Grant:

For freeze stand perfectly still eyes closed now, let's transition in your Mind, focus your attention on the middle of your forehead. The third eye. You may see colors, a symbol, a light, something else or nothing at all. It doesn't matter. Keeping your attention there, lay down slowly flat on your back. Once on your back tense, every muscle in your body, grip your fists, squeeze all your muscles tight and hold it, hold it, hold it and let go. Allow yourself to breathe comfortably. Let go completely. feel your heart beating and the blood flowing happily through your body. Visualize your heart chakra open and ready to receive. Keep your whole body relaxed and still and keep your entire focus on your open heart chakra. As I sing it will be as if your heart has ears. It will absorb the energy and vibration coming through my voice. You will be enveloped in love in light in radiance. You will be basking in illumination. There is nothing for you to do now, but receive it, enjoy it. Feel it, be in it. When the mantra completes, I'll be there to guide youLeah Grant:
You? Right Right Keeping your eyes closed take a team breath and hold it for two seconds. Then release Take another deep breath. Hold it, hold it and release and one Smar T breath in. Hold it and let go. Gently take your attention back to your open heart chakra and the middle of your chest.Leah Grant:
See it feel it pulsing and overflowing with gold and green love it just receive. Allow that love to flow out all through your body.Leah Grant:
Feel it warm, soaking into you. Feel it awakening. Feel it awakening you to the peace of God within.Leah Grant:
You are a part of that expansive energy. Feel the warmth. Fill your torso and roll down into your arms and legs. See your wrists and ankles light up with this golden green energy. Now notice your toes and fingers as the glowing green light of pure love seeps into each one of them. You may even feel a vibration throughout your body. Relax into it. Notice the emptiness of your mind. Become aware of how full of spirit your center is, as the glowing green light, brightens even more as you allow it to engulf your entire body and you allow it to take you you surrender completely to the light you illuminate as this glowing light melts deeper into you, you are more openLeah Grant:
you are light you are love relax breathe relax into the warmth that bless the possibilities the glorious light breathe and feel it just breathe and feel when you are ready, begin to become aware of more than just youLeah Grant:
feel the floor bed or surface beneath you. Feel the temperature of the room on your skin.
