As winter fades and the first blossoms of spring emerge, we welcome the arrival of the New Pink Moon on March 29.
I thought I’d share the significance of the New Pink Moon and how you can harness its energy for personal growth. Plus, I’ve included a powerful New Moon Ritual to help you manifest your desires and step into the new season with clarity and purpose.
The First New Moon of Spring
The New Pink Moon is a celestial herald of fresh beginnings. While its name comes from the delicate pink phlox flowers that blanket the early spring landscape, this moon‘s true magic lies in its symbolism: renewal, rebirth, and the blossoming of new possibilities.
Its energy pulses with nature’s revitalizing rhythm, inviting us to plant seeds—both literal and metaphorical—for the season ahead.
Astrological Significance: Aries New Moon
This New Moon often falls in Aries, the zodiac’s bold and fiery first sign and this year is no different. Aries energy is all about courage, action, and new beginnings, making this an ideal time to:
- Set bold intentions
- Start fresh projects
- Break free from old limitations
With both the sun and moon in Aries, this lunation sparks a surge of motivation—urging us to take decisive steps toward our dreams.

Key Themes of the New Pink Moon
-
Rebirth & Renewal – Like the first flowers of spring, this is a time to shed the past and plant seeds for the future.
-
Courage & Initiative – Aries’ fearless energy pushes us to take risks and embrace change.
-
Vitality & Growth – Spring’s awakening energy supports new endeavors with fresh enthusiasm.
New Moon Ritual
This New Moon Ritual utilizes the energy of Aries fire coupled with the rebirth vibration of Spring to amplify your intentions.
Given we are in a 9 year (see last month’s email for more information), my focus when I do this ritual on Monday, will be to rebirth those old projects that are ready for completion. I’ll be giving that which is it’s time to finish a restart.
For this ritual, collect the following items:
- A white or pink candle any size with a holder (for purity & love)
- Pen & paper
- Small bowl of fresh water (to absorb lunar energy)
- A spring blossom* (to connect with nature)
Optional:
- Clear quartz or rose quartz (for amplification)
- Sage (for clearing)
* I go outside and pull a blossom off a bush or tree. If you don’t have access to this, you can use a fresh flower. It’s best to choose one that blooms in spring, like pansys, tulips or daffodils.
Cleanse Your Space & Prepare
Once the Moon has risen in the sky and all light from the sun is gone, choose an outdoor space (if possible).
Set the bowl and arrange all the items you are going to use.
Use sage or palo santo to gently cleanse them, the area and you.
Light your candle.
Take three deep breaths. As you exhale, release anything that no longer serves you. As you inhale, take in the the scent of the blossom or flower you’ve chosen.
Set Your Intentions
Next, write down 1-3 clear intentions for this lunar cycle.
Phrase them as if they’re already happening
(e.g., “I am publishing my Self-Discovery journal.”)
Charge with Lunar Energy
Then hold your paper over the candle flame – far enough away that it will not catch fire. You do not want to burn it.
If it’s windy, or the flame is jumpy, you can place it under the candle.
Say aloud three times:
“With this New Moon‘s light,
my intentions take flight.
As nature renews,
so do my intentions,
and so do I.“
Then say once aloud:
“And so it is.”
Seal & Activate
Sprinkle a few drops of moon-charged water from your bowl on paper and your wrists.
Rub your wrists together over the paper.
Place your intentions in a sacred space, on your altar or under your pillow.
Leave there until the next New Moon.
This New Pink Moon is your blank canvas—paint it with courage, clarity, and the vibrant energy of spring.
